With the end of the race season approaching quick, there seemed to be a bit pressure showing on some drivers last night. A great display of good, clean, close racing in most groups was great to watch. A few kart casualties occurred during the night with one heading off the track straight over the hill down the bottom corner, we did locate him and the kart with no injuries to the driver. (Have never seen so many people willing to flag marshal on point 1). there would have been at least 20 volunteers running down at once. Hence to say, when racing commenced again it was difficult to find 1 person willing to flag at that point for the rest of the night. For those people that did flag marshall last night, thank you for assistance it was greatly appreciated and you have not gone unnoticed. It seems to be the same people race meet after race meet that help out with flag marshalling. Thank you to all that helped out with the running of the night, Start officials, Clerk of the Course, Pre Grid officials, Timing officials,Canteen convenors, Water Truck drivers and the members and spectators that come out each race meet to support the club. See “Club events” page for details on upcoming events. For those people that are interested, the next RACE MEETING, Saturday 1st October has been organised as a “Sleepover”. any person interested in staying overnight at the track after the race meeting, please contact Angela (Club Secretary) for details.
That time of year is coming around again, book early to celebrate with fellow racers, enjoy a few drinks and buffet meal at the Presentation Night.
